Demolition & Junk Removal

Interior Demolition and Junk Removal in Chicago and Chicagoland

Renovation demolition, removal of old finishes and materials, construction debris hauling, and cleanouts that leave a space ready for new work.

Overview

Demolition & Junk Removal Done Properly

Every renovation starts with removal, and how that removal is handled sets the tone for everything after it. Green Wave Construction takes out old finishes carefully, protects what is staying, and gets the debris out of the property instead of leaving it stacked in a hallway.

We do interior and renovation demolition: bathrooms and kitchens taken back to the studs, old flooring and tile pulled up, walls opened where a remodel requires it, and old fixtures and cabinetry removed. Because we also do the finish work, we understand which parts of a space need to be protected during demolition rather than discovered as damage later.

Junk removal and cleanouts are the other half of this service. Construction debris hauling, clearing out a property between tenants, and emptying a unit before renovation or sale are all work we handle directly.

We do not perform hazardous material work. Asbestos, lead abatement, and other regulated materials require specialized licensed contractors, and if something like that turns up we stop and tell you rather than working around it.

What This Service Includes

  • Interior and renovation demolition

Selective removal for a remodel, including taking bathrooms and kitchens back to the framing so new work can start clean.

  • Removal of old finishes

Tile, flooring, drywall, trim, cabinetry, and fixtures removed with the surrounding areas that are staying protected.

  • Construction debris hauling

Debris loaded and taken off the property rather than piling up in the yard, hallway, or alley during the project.

  • Junk removal and cleanouts

Clearing a unit or property of leftover material and unwanted items before renovation, listing, or a new tenant.

How it works

How a Demolition & Junk Removal Project Runs

One point of contact, a written scope before work begins, and a walkthrough at the end.

  1. 01

    Walkthrough

We look at what needs to come out, what has to stay protected, and how material will get out of the building.

  2. 02

    Written scope

Demolition, removal, and hauling are documented before scheduling, including access and staging on tight city lots.

  3. 03

    Protect and remove

Protection goes in first, then removal happens in a controlled order and debris leaves the property.

  4. 04

    Clean and hand off

The space is swept clean and ready for the next stage of work, whether we are doing it or someone else is.
