Windows & Doors Done Properly
Windows and doors are the parts of a home you touch and look through every day, so a rough install shows immediately. Green Wave Construction replaces windows and installs interior and exterior doors, then finishes the casing, trim, and paint so the new units look like they belong in the room rather than dropped into it.
Chicago housing stock makes this work specific. Openings in older frame homes, greystones, and vintage courtyard buildings are rarely square, and units in the same home can vary by a fraction of an inch. We measure each opening individually rather than ordering one size across the board.
If you are replacing windows as part of a larger interior project, we sequence the work with the painting, drywall, and flooring so the same wall does not get opened up twice.
What This Service Includes
Window replacement
Removal of existing windows and installation of new units, with each opening measured on its own. Interior casing and trim are finished after the install so the wall reads as a complete detail.
Interior doors
New interior doors, closet doors, and door hardware, hung to close cleanly and painted to match the rest of the trim in the home.
Exterior doors
Exterior door replacement and installation where the opening and framing allow, including weatherstripping and hardware so the door seals and latches correctly.
Trim and finish work
Casing, jamb extensions, caulking, and paint, which is where a window or door install either looks finished or looks unfinished.
